Updating Articles

  1. Every few weeks, check Google Search Console.
    1. If there’s any articles that are getting some impressions on Google, update the Meta Tags
    2. If there’s any articles that are getting visits/clicks on Google, spend some time making the article better. Hire a writer or do it yourself.
    3. If an article isn’t getting any impressions on Google (after 6-8 weeks from publishing date), run it through Intelliminds again, or rewrite it manually.
      1. If it still doesn’t rank on google after that, delete the blog post.

2. Optimize your articles with the following tactics:

  1. Add 1-2 RELEVANT youtube videos to your article. Google doesn’t want to penalize content that’s going to drive youtube views.
  2. Add extra images where it’s relevant.
    1. Make sure you add descriptive ALT tags to your images. Insert a relevant keyword.
  3. Improve external link placements.
    1. Sometimes a link can be placed on a better word.
  4. Google your main keyword, and find related keywords in Google Autosuggest.
    1. Add these keywords throughout the article. This helps your article get seen more often.
  5. Rewrite the introduction
    1. Make sure it includes the main keyword, as well as a related keyword.
    2. Improve the flow or add a little more information to the introduction.
  6. Update the title
    1. Make the title more catchy or useful.
    2. Make sure it’s more relevant to the search intent of the user.

    2. Add your pillar page keywords, and link to the pillar pages.
    3. This will automatically link any instance of those keywords on your blog to your main pillar pages.
    4. You can do this with other keywords and pages too.

Ranking Articles Quicker

  1. How to rank articles on Google quickly:
    1. You should try to get at least 3 other articles or pages on your website linking to every new blog post that’s published. Or at least, linking to the articles you that are more relevant to your lead magnets.
    2. Manually add some images to every new article with the main keyword in the alt text.
